Hudson Leick

The beautiful Hudson Leick is most famously known for her wicked, psycho character of Callisto from Xena: Warrior Princess. She was a thorn in Xena's side, a reminder of Xena's past. Just watch the old episodes on Oxygen, to see this beauty act.

Hudson has appeared on TV many times, guest starring on shows such as Touched by an Angel which she played the sweet Celeste, an angel.

She has also played in the pilot for Tru Calling and also in Melrose Place.

Hudson played Callisto not only in Xena but in Hercules: The Legendary Journey's. She did a wonderful job playing the delightfully evil Callisto.

As Callisto, she was a normal human being until she was killed and brought back to life by some Ambrosia, the food of the gods and since she ate it. The Ambrosia made her a goddess.

When Callisto was a child, Xena came to her village, Cirra with her army and burnt the village to the ground. Almost everyone died, including all of Callisto's family, and since that day Callisto trained hard so she could kill Xena to avenge her family. By the time Callisto was ready Xena had changed her life, working for good instead of evil. This didn't bother Callisto though she still wanted Xena's blood.

Callisto captured Gabrielle and used her to make Xena fight her. Xena won the fight, but did not kill Callisto instead sending her to prison. Callisto escaped shortly thereafter and went after Xena again.

Later, Xena in a different fight, Xena watched a Callisto sunk into quick sand, killing her. However, Callisto was brought back and kept after Xena. Later, Xena and Gabrielle were crucified because of Callisto, but it was while they were dead Callisto went through a big change. While fighting Callisto in Hell, Xena gave her "light" to Callisto and redeemed her for all her past crimes, this subsequently turned Xena into a demon.

Callisto, now an angel, brought Xena and Gabrielle back to life. She even helped Xena, Gabrielle and Eli begin the twilight of the gods, and was reunited with her family in Heaven...forever

Hudson grew up in Rochester, New York, and worked as a model in Rochester and Tokyo before attending acting school in New York City. She attended Brighton High School in Rochester, New York starting her sophomore year. She is a graduate of the prestigious Neighborhood Playhouse acting school in New York City.

At the age of 20, Hudson started acting at the Community Theater in Rochester, New York. Between the ages of 21 and 23, she worked in a play called "Neighborhood Playhouse" in New York City. She also worked on a series of afterschool showcases called "Sexual Considerations", where the shows focused on teenage issues. Hudson played the role of an 18 year old.

Hudson enjoys playing Callisto on Xena. She comments that "I think playing Callisto is very therapeutic. Even though all she ever does is scream and yell and fight, its because she's so hurt and angry. Thats part of why I love the character so much.". Hudson also comments about the "Celeste" character from Touched by an Angel, "It was kind of strange when I did the first (Xena) convention, and everybody wanted to see me as the evil Callisto. Then two days later, I'm off to Utah to play Celeste-- a sweet, cute little angel on Touched By An Angel.".

Whether she is playing psycho-swordwielding Callisto, or ditsy-cherubic Celeste, you can be sure that Hudson fans will be watching.
